The greatest and most influential book ever written。 The most famous of them all while also still the most sold/bought, read, and translated。 The infallible, Spirit breathed, Word of God。It was written by 40 Jewish writers of diverse backgrounds over a period of 1500 years on 3 different continents (the Middle East, Africa and Europe) and in three different languages (Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek) and yet with the same theme:Man's fall through sin and the solution: Redemption through the per The greatest and most influential book ever written。 The most famous of them all while also still the most sold/bought, read, and translated。 The infallible, Spirit breathed, Word of God。It was written by 40 Jewish writers of diverse backgrounds over a period of 1500 years on 3 different continents (the Middle East, Africa and Europe) and in three different languages (Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek) and yet with the same theme:Man's fall through sin and the solution: Redemption through the perfect life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ。I suppose this would be a summary of the entire book:"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life。" - John 3:16 。。。more

Not sure who wrote this, but their voice changes almost every chapter。 Some of it is very confusing as well。 Many times I had to stop from reading to my children as there was mention of death, violence, and other crimes against humanity。 Would suggest skipping this one especially if you have kids。

Most Christians I have known that profess to believe the Bible do not have a working familiarity with it and have never even read it through。 Largely, they really are not expected to do so。 In most Christian traditions becoming a Christian is through a conversion experience or a confirmation--these do not entail knowledge of the book folk are supposedly committing to。 If these Christians later read the Bible, they may find what they get out of it differs considerably from what their preachers, t Most Christians I have known that profess to believe the Bible do not have a working familiarity with it and have never even read it through。 Largely, they really are not expected to do so。 In most Christian traditions becoming a Christian is through a conversion experience or a confirmation--these do not entail knowledge of the book folk are supposedly committing to。 If these Christians later read the Bible, they may find what they get out of it differs considerably from what their preachers, teachers and articles of faith say it says。 Some may decide none of it is for them。From ~1978 to ~1997 I read the King James Version of the Bible in order at a rate of about one to two times in a year。 。。。more

God’s Word。 Happy to have now read the whole book and learned so much。 A great journey that’s built a foundation in Jesus Christ and hope to keep building on。

I didn't actually think that I would find this on here, but I am glad to have done so。 The negative reviews make me insanely upset, but I am relieved that there is such a positive community on here about the only book that most of us think actually matters。 I didn't actually think that I would find this on here, but I am glad to have done so。 The negative reviews make me insanely upset, but I am relieved that there is such a positive community on here about the only book that most of us think actually matters。 。。。more

I have a multitude of issues with the bible。 For one, it is against the LGBTQIA+ community which I think is horrendous。 Like, how are you going to discriminate in 2022 bro? Second, Jesus was probably overexaggerated。 CURED the blind? He probably just started a campfire。 Third, the Earth was created in 7 days?? And Humans were here from the start? Every 3 year old will tell you that is just wrong。 Dinosaurs were here millions of years before us。 That number is at least 3 days longer than 7 days。 I have a multitude of issues with the bible。 For one, it is against the LGBTQIA+ community which I think is horrendous。 Like, how are you going to discriminate in 2022 bro? Every 3 year old will tell you that is just wrong。 Dinosaurs were here millions of years before us。 That number is at least 3 days longer than 7 days。 Fourth, the bible is against suicide, but also promotes it。 Let me explain。 Sure, Jesus was crucified by Pontius Pilate, but the bible states Jesus CHOSE to die for our sins。 So he technically had committed suicide。 Therefore, the bible promotes suicide while also being against it。 Fifth, the bible changed over time。 How is one supposed to believe in a religious book that was made in like 1200 b。c。e and modified constantly from 1500-1800 c。e/a。d (standing for anno domini [latin for the year of the master] for all the uninformed people who think it's an acronym for after death)。 One ideology of the bible is the concept of free will, which was an idea implemented in the 1700s。 Over 2,800 years after it was written! It also was modified by medieval monarchies when they were tired of people not listening to them。 These are the same people who would systematically bang their cousins。 Sixth, some of the stories don't follow physics and can't be scientifically possible。 There is zero chance that one person throughout the entire history of the Earth was able to move a river, and it was the guy who talked to a god。 My final reason, is where is the sequel? After 3,000 years of it being an extremely popular book, you would think someone would remake it or revamp it by adding new ideologies, removing old ideologies, and fixing flaws (such as Jesus being portrayed as caucasian even though he is middle eastern)。 Despite some other minor inconsistencies, these are huge reasons why I believe that the bible just isn't worth reading。 I used to be an avid Christian but I started piecing together these flaws and decided it was just wrong。 I'm not trying to persuade anyone out of their religion, I am simply stating flaws within the book and religion that I believe it makes it fiction。 Thank you to all that took their time to read this and I hope you have a nice day。 。。。more

The Bible is, hands down, the most poorly written book (I should say collection of books) I have ever read。 And among the many versions of the Bible I have read, the King James Version is the very worst。

Sabrina Dawkins

The most difficult and layered book to read but also the most rewarding。 Just remember, you are reading literally, figuratively, and prophetically。

Leí el libro de Oseas porque estoy en un grupo de lectura de libros cristianos y entre ellos leímos el libro de Oseas。 Fue una experiencia muy bonita。 Les invito a leer la Biblia, tiene un mensaje cautivador。

Contradicts itself way too many times。 Not at all believable。 The character of God is ridiculous。 Wrathful and angry one minute, loving and kind the next。 And he abuses people for sport。 Total dick。
